Iron von den Wolfen IPO III, 2015 WUSV IPO Champion

International competition, going to Europe, is the ultimate goal for the competative Schutzhund trainer, and many Americans have taken dogs, often trained and titled in Europe, back to particpate. The ultimate German Shepherd venue is the annual World Union of SV (WUSV) championship, that is, the championship of the international German Shepherd association.

Debbie Zappia bought a ten month old pup in Germany, Iron von den Wolfen, and ultimately took him back to Germany to win it all, that is became the 2015 WUSV IPO champion.

Debbie and Iron thus became unique in the annals of German Shepherd history, the first American team to go to the very top.

Such things are not accomplished alone, and credit must be given where it is due. In the words of Debbie Zappia herself:
